Subject: Beechtree Estates Contract # 19634/35-Kicker Way & Boomerang Way
Topher- After notification from Kay Keller a Community Manager, Water & Sewer made an on-site inspection and found two (2) Fire Hydrants leaking when fully closed. The Hydrant Valves were turned off and received red tags indicating they are out of service. Since these Hydrants have not been accepted by Harford County, the maintenance remains with Clarke Turner Development. Attached please find the exact location with station numbers locating each hydrant. Until these hydrants are repaired, this community is without proper fire protection creating a fire risk/hazard. If they are not repaired by 11-14-16, Water & Sewer will make the necessary repairs and back-charge the cost. Please advise your attention to this matter.

Per Chief of W&S see comments below:
The two inoperative Fire Hydrants have been repaired by Maintenance and are now back in service. The cost of these repairs will be processed and back-charged to the developer. Photos reveal a small stone at the bottom stem of each hydrant damaging the brass/rubber seal preventing complete closure ,hence a small constant leak. New brass seal & rubber were replaced providing complete closure and no more leaks.
